Skid Shoes

The spacebetweenthe skidshoesandthe groundcan

beadjusted.SeeFigure6.

• Forclosesnowremovalona smoothsurface,raise

skidshoeshigheron the augerhousing.

Usea middleor lowerpositionwhenthe areato be

clearedis uneven,suchas agraveldriveway.

Toadjustthe skidshoes:

1. Loosenthe four hexnuts(twooneach side)and

carriagebolts. Moveskidshoesto desiredposition.

2. Makecertainthe entirebottomsurfaceof skidshoeis

againstthegroundto avoidunevenwearon the skid

shoes.

3. Retightennutsand boltssecurely.

Chute Bracket Adjustment

If the spiralat the bottomof the chutedirectionalcontrol

isnot fullyengagingwiththe chuteassembly,thechute

bracketcan beadjusted.Todo so:

1. loosenthe two nutswhichsecurethe chutebracket

andrepositionit slightly.See Figure7.

2. Retighteningthe nuts.

Tire Pressure

Beforeoperating,checktire pressureandreducepres-

sureto between15psiand 20psi.

If thetire pressureisnotequalinbothtires,the unit may

pullto oneside orthe other.
